Description

Short title: Collard v Newton.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Collard, clerk.

Defendant(s): Robert Newton.

Subject of depositions: Rectory and parish of Withycomb, and lands in the parish called Baker's tenement, formerly in the possession of Francis Wyndham (late of Sandell in same parish) and of James Vicary. Whether the tenement was held tithe free as part of the late abbey of Oldcleeve? Tithes.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 12 February 1681.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 April 1681 at Nether Stony.
