Description

Short title: Attorney General v [unknown].

Plaintiff(s): Sir William Jones, kt (Attorney General), by the relation of John Tooker, John Salmon, the elder, Benjamin. Walter, James Treaser, John Blaning, Samuel Treaser, Moses Ashman, William Parfitt, Robert Parfitt, Giles Blaning, John Young, Daniel Cary, Alexander Maundrell, John Salmon, the younger, John Berriman, John Shepheard alias Horley.

Defendant(s): [unknown].

Subject of depositions: Manor of Stratton-upon-Fosse (Somerset), and certain closes, held of the manor, called "Plumers Close" and "Perthill." Touching the licence granted by the lord of the manor to work or search for coles in any part of such manor or inclosures thereof, notwithstanding the herbage before was granted for lives of such inclosures to other persons. Also touching the forest of Mendip. Metes and bounds. Customs of manor.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 19 June 1678.
