Plaintiff(s): George Watson, John Parker, John Watson, John Parker, of the Goathouse, John Pinder and his wife Mary, Anthony Wilkes, William Pateson, Thomas Brumfield, Richard Williamson, John Lamplugh, Siballs Williamson, Richard Peile, Thomas Borrinskell, William Lancaster, George Williamson, Thomas Thompson, John Thompson, William Miller, John Spencer, James Brumfield, William Watson, John Anderson, Josh. Fletcher, John Wheelwright, Henry Toulson, Philip Watson, Ellinor Atkinson, Richard Patteson, Richard Lowry, of Cockermouth, Rowland Benson, Theoplas Fryare, John Clocker, George France, Henry Fisher, John Clarke, Francis Benson, Rowland Cotthirst, of Cockermouth, tenants of the manor of Papcastle, in Cumberland.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Papcastle alias Papcastre, and lordships, in the counties of Cumberland and Westmorland, formerly belonging to and escheated to the Crown (tempore Elizabeth) by the attainder of the Lord Dacre, namely the barony of Barton and Dacre, Kirkeswold, and Bleckell, and Lazenby. Customs of the manors as regards the payment by the tenants of a general fine upon the death of the lord of the manor, and the payment of "drooping fines" upon change of tenant by death or alienation.
