Short title: Deneaw v Norris.
Plaintiff(s): James Deneaw, one of the sheriffs of the city of Norwich.
Defendant(s): John Norris, executor of the last will and testament of Francis Norris, late one of the sheriffs of Norwich, and John Richer, likewise late one of the sheriffs of Norwich.
Subject of depositions: Execution of the office of shrievalty of the city of Norwich. Touching the levying and collecting of the fee-farm rent of the citizens of Norwich due to His Majesty. Clause in the oath of the sheriff on taking office to pay the fee-farm rent. Profits of office. Passing of sheriff's accounts in the Pipe Office. Expenses of office. Fine paid to the mayor and corporation of Norwich to evade filling the office.
County/place: Norfolk.
Date of commission: 10 June 1668.
