Description

Short title: Attorney General v Abbery.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Jeffrey Palmer, kt and bart (Attorney General), by information.

Defendant(s): John Abbery, William Richardson, John Gosbell, Nathaniel Barnes, Anthony Palmer, John New, Samuel Malletrotte. John Toms, Francis Goodwin, Christopher Mitchell, Richard Downer, Elkana Settle, Edward Sage, Seth Partridge, James Davis, Samuel Turner, William Arnott, Henry Gate, Thomas Godman.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Hemel Hempstead, in Hertford, and the waste or common belonging, and the ground upon which markets and fairs are kept. Alleged encroachment on waste. Metes and bounds.

County/place: Hertford.

Date of commission: 12 February 1663.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 April 1663 at Hemelhempstead.
