Description

Short title: Venables v Morgan.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Venables, of Namptwich, and his wife Dorothy.

Defendant(s): Robert Morgan, John Morgan, William Swinnerton, William Monke.

Subject of depositions: Copyhold of the manor of Keele, lands, etc. called "Ridge Hill" (Staffordshire), and four houses and 600 acres of land in Ireland; of whichpremises plaintiff Dorothy and her former husband, John Blackburn, of Keele (Staffordshire), were dispossessed by defendants under an order of the Court of Starchamber.

County/place: Staffordshire; Ireland.

Date of commission: 17 June 1646.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 21 October 1646 at Betley.
