Short title: Mayor of Exeter v Shilston.
Plaintiff(s): The mayor, bailiffs, and cominalty of the city of Exeter, Nicholas Spicer, Judith Wakeman, widow, George Langworthy, and his wife Elizabeth.
Defendant(s): Richard Shilston, Phillip Balston, John Bagwell, Thomas Allington alias Arundel.
Subject of depositions: Mills belonging to the city of Exeter called "Cricklapitt Mills" others called "Duryerd" parcel of Duryerd Manor, and others in Execland Manor. Custom of "suit and grist" to mills (i.e. grinding corn, etc.).
County/place: Devon.
Date of commission: 12 February 1638.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 12 April 1638 at Exeter.
