Description

Short title: Canning v Bate.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Canning and his wife Philippa, William Langston and his wife Jane.

Defendant(s): Faith Bate, widow.

Subject of depositions: A lease of lands in the manor of Willersey (Gloucestershire), purchased by Thomas Bate (defendant's late husband). Sir Phillip Keightley and his wife Elizabeth, Richard Hobby, of Badsey (her father).

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1636.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 January 1637 at Willersey.
