Description

Short title: Somerset v Barret.

Plaintiff(s): Charles Somerset, Valentine Prichard, and Moore Gwilliams.

Defendant(s): Richard Barret, Alexander otherwise Sanders Barret, Thomas Powell, Peter Williams.

Subject of depositions: French and other wines brought by defendant from beyond seas into the creek of Tynby and the port of Milford. What does "breaking bulk" consist in? Customs of port as to giving cockets on clearance of vessels at Custom House.

County/place: Pembrokeshire.

Date of commission: 13 February 1609.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 April 1609 at the Townhall, Pembroke.
