Description

Short title: Wright v Cotton.

Plaintiff(s): William Wright, John Wright, John Browne, Ambrose Brewster, Edward Scott.

Defendant(s): Joan Cotton, widow, Martin Hayward, Henry Scott, William Humfrey, Thomas Hayward.

Subject of depositions: Woods called "Hartest Great Wood" and "Hartest Little Wood" (Suffolk), in which defendant Joan was allowed by plaintiff William to cut down wood to repay £30 lent by her to him. Alleged waste and spoil in said woods.

County/place: Suffolk.

Date of commission: 18 November 1602.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 11 January 1603 at Lavenham.
