Description

Short title: Attwells v Kennett.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Attwells alias Wells.

Defendant(s): George Kennett, George Edwards, John Prick, Charles Prick.

Subject of depositions: Tithes of the hamlets and villages of Elmstone, Uckington, Hardwick, and Boddington (Gloucestershire), said by plaintiff to have been granted to him by Letters Patent, dated 3 March, 22 Eliz, after him to Edmond and John Atwell his sons; whether such tithes belonged to either the abbey of Tewkesbury or the priory of Deerhurst, as belonging to the rectories of Deerhurst and Elmston, and granted after the dissolution of religious houses to George Throkmorton and Sir Thomas Throkmorton. Perambulation of Deerhurst, Walton, and Elmston parishes.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 April 1596 at Tewkesbury.
