Description

Short title: Mannage v Atkins.

Plaintiff(s): Hugh Mannage.

Defendant(s): John Atkins, John Tomlyn, William Bucking, John Fylkes.

Subject of depositions: Lands in Borden, near to a hospital in Borden, called Chesilhill, and lands in Bobbing; whether parcel of the hospital. Touching right and title to the property of the late hospital; whether the lands belonged to Nicholas Clifford, as parcel of his manor of Bobbing, 25 Hen VIII, at the time he sold the same to Richard Clifford, his brother, etc. [Mr. George Clifford and Sir John Norton, kt, are mentioned].

County/place: Kent.

Date of commission: 18 June 1589.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 July 1589 at Sittingbourne.
