Rhymney Railway. 'Map of the Eastern Portion of the South Wales Mineral Field showing its Iron-works and Collieries[,] Railways, Tram Roads and Canals, and the Sea Ports of Cardiff and Newport. 1855': covering parts of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire as far inland as Hirwaun and Abergavenny. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Compass star. Lithographed by Standidge & Co, Old Jewry, London. Manuscript additions, in red ink, showing railways authorised but not yet operational and proposed extensions. The name John Boyle in inscribed on the endpapers and on the cover.
