South-West England and South Wales. Two maps, each on two joined sheets, of the area between Saint Davids (Pembrokeshire), Buckingham (Buckinghamshire), the Isle of Wight and Land's End (Cornwall): (1) showing only physical features (relief, rivers, named headlands, etc); (2) showing the same features as item (1), with the addition of roads, railways, named towns, etc. Reference tables. Engraved and printed by Erhard.
These maps appear to be sheets from the 'Carte de France', the survey for which was begun in December 1870 under the supervision of Captain Prudent, French Engineers.
