Description

Four sheets of the Ordnance Survey 1:500 map of Landguard Point joined: Suffolk LXXXIX.12.13-14 and [Suffolk LXXXIX.12.18-19], together forming a map covering Landguard Fort and the adjacent barracks. Surveyed in 1880; zincographed and published at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1880-1881. Printed notes state that the map was to be used solely for War Department purposes. Coloured MS additions highlight boundaries and buildings. Signed by Colonel John Y Moggridge, Commanding Royal Engineer, Eastern District, 18 June 1881.
