Paymaster's Ledger.
- "Ledger No.6"
- Contains details of the pay, usually on a four-weekly basis, of men of the Corps for the period Nov 1855-Aug 1856. This ledger contains details of men numbered from 1801 to 2256, 2337, 2398-2428, 2444, 2446, 2483, 2502, 2510, 2531-2, 2537-8, and 2540-2542, omitting 1812, 1907, 2051.
- Contains a single page per man, with his number, his job title and sometimes his fate. Most entries end with the payment of a gratuity. There are no details of gang number.
- An integral alphabetical index by initial letter of surname is at the front. It includes the man's number and the reference folio.
