Book of Departmental Work.
- 'Note Book of Departmental Work'.
- This book contains rough notes relating to jobs to be done, or letters to be written, by the Quartermaster General's Department. It covers the period 3 September 1854 to 27 September 1855. A number of the jobs have comments written against them, some by Major General Airey, the Quartermaster General, who appears to have used it as his notebook.
- Although many notes are undated they appear to be in chronological order.
- The back of the book contains embarkation returns dated 13-16 June 1854.
