Entry Book of General Orders and Memoranda.
- At the front of the volume are memoranda, issued by the Quarter Master General's Department at the Headquarters, which cover the period 30 September 1854 to 24 June 1856. Most were signed by Richard Airey or Percy E Herbert, successive the Quarter Masters General, or their staff officers. The addressees were mainly general officers of divisions.
- At the back of the volume are extracts (only) from General Orders which cover the period 30 April to 9 July 1854. They commence with the first General Order reporting the assumption of command of General Lord Raglan at Scutari and end with the army being located at Varna.
