Description

Requisition Book.

  • 'Requisition Book'.
  • A chronological list of stores issued giving date, recipient and articles issued.
  • The stores issued were mainly items of camp equipment, entrenching tools, horse equipment or clothing.
  • At the back of the volume are two draft memoranda relating to the arrival of regiments and drafts. There is also a record of payments made to staff of the Parcels Office, including fatigue parties. This covers the period 1 July 1855 to 31 January 1856. It lists name, regiment, period covered, rate of pay and amount paid.
