The Historic Built Environment Committee (HBEAC) ran from 2001 to 2003, taking over the responsibilities of the Historic Buildings and Areas Advisory Committee (HBAAC). In 2003 the work of HBEAC was transferred into the English Heritage Advisory Committee (EHAC), alongside the Historic Settlements and Landscapes Advisory Committee (HSLAC).
