Folios 191-192: John Ford, HMS Europa, Port Royal Harbour, Jamaica writing to Captain Thomas Western, HMS Scorpion. Confirms received Captain Western's letter of 27 August with regard to his capturing of the Guillotine and her prize, the Sandown, together with copy of correspondence with the Governor of Havannah (Havana), with whom he is recommended to"give as little offence as possible". Captain Russell who some years earlier had forcibly entered the Port after which he was never employed by the Admiralty again. Requests he uses utmost endeavours to obtain as many seamen as possible, [to stretch over to the Mole] ? and leave them with the Commanding Officer.
