Description

Folios 166-167: Thomas West, HMS Alexander, Spithead. Josias Rowley, 3rd Lieutenant on HMS Alexander, granted Admiralty permission to go to Town has now been appointed to command a sloop of war. Wishes to know whether authorised to discharge him from the books of HMS Alexander, in which case, requests a replacement.
