Court and Date of Trial: Birmingham sessions, 17 October 1849.
Crime: Larceny after previous conviction. ‘Stealing an Iron Chok’.
Initial Sentence: 7 years transportation.
Gaoler's Report: Millbank. ‘Before convicted’.
Outcome: Nil.
Petitions and letters: The prisoner claims he is not guilty as the prosecutor had employed him and loaned him the tools, but did not pay him for his work. He was never imprisoned before. His wife and children are reliant on him.
