Petitions and letters: Petition from the prisoner, in York Hulk, claiming his innocence and his good character: he refers to his [28] years good service in the army, which were vouched for by testimonials from his previous commanding officers, which he provided.
Petitionary letter from Lieutenant Colonel Wilkins to accompany the petition, stating his thorough knowledge of the prisoner, his honest good conduct and high testimonials from his late Royal Highness the Duke of York, Commander in Chief. Letter from Lieutenant Colonel Wilkins, thanking Sir George Grey for discharging the prisoner.
