Captured ship: Arms of Rotterdam otherwise Wapen van Rotterdam (master Jacob Martensen Cloet).
History: a Dutch East India Company (VOC, Amsterdam division) ship, bound from the Texel on 16 December 1673 northabout for Batavia in the East Indies, and took shelter at Ronas Voe, Shetland; taken in fight there by HMS Newcastle (John Wetwang commanding) in late February 1674, and brought first into Harwich and then into London.
