Petitions and letters: Petition from Catherine Crewes, on behalf of the prisoner, her tenant. She asserts the only evidence against him was that of 'the thief himself' John Moore, whose bad character was unknown to the prisoner or his counsel. She adds he is recovering from typhus and may not survive, praying for mitigation of sentence. 17 other signatories including the prosecutor Edwin Kendall.
