Court and Date of Trial: Worship Street police court, 17 April 1849.
Crime: Disobeying an order in bastardy.
Initial sentence: Committal to Middlesex house of correction for six weeks.

Petitions and letters: Petition from prisoner pleading for remission of sentence, stating he was unable to pay his child's mother because he had to support his own mother and sick sister, who are at risk of becoming paupers during the term of his sentence.
