Folios 334-335: Peter Spicer, Regulating Officer, Swansea. Reporting that Lieutenant Notter had received information on Thomas Merideth the son of Thomas Merideth who was the Master of the vessel that Thomas Merideth [son] was impressed from. Thomas Merideth [son] stated that his father had drowned some three years ago and that he had then become Master. An older man on the vessel was thought to be the real Master and therefore the son was impressed.
