Folios 492-493: Andrew Smith, Greenock. He refers to earlier correspondence about an impressed man named John Black. The Water Baillie requested his discharge which request the Captain passed to the Admiralty but has received no reply. the Authorities are as a consequence threatening to put the Captain in gaol for non compliance. He asks urgently for a reply.
