Place of accident: Washington, County Durham.
Injury: Fatal injuries
Details of accident: He had been drinking at The White Hare Public House until after 12 the night before and left there to walk on the railway to Unsworth and it is supposed he was killed by the fast train leaving Newcastle at 2:20 AM, as he was found dead upon the line (the) next morning.
