Folios 313-314: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] Weekly return of this Rendezvous and acquaint you that Lieutenant Seymor's [John Seymour] at Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea] has informed him that four apprentices who had entered themselves have this week been forwarded and entered onboard HMS Bruiser Gun Boat Lieutenant Lawrence Dundas Bruce who has now two men more that his complement, but says he has an order to bear supernumeraries. This could cause problems. He sent Lieutenant William Dalton over to Boston in a fishing Boat who has returned with three fine young sailors but in his attempting to land at that Town was opposed by a mob, when fearing he might loose the men he had got he relinquished his design.
