Folios 309-310: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea]. States that the Nancy Tender sailed yesterday with twenty seven men, fourteen from Lynn [Kings Lynn] & thirteen from this rendezvous and also that in consequence of application from Mr Bloom (who has this port wrote their Lordships on the subject). He has detained Thomas Edwards and John Pennington until a decision whether they go or not. Lieutenant Seymors [John Seymour] informs him they were both Mates of Fishermen and had protections as such, Mr Bloom should him the list of the enrolled men at this place amongst which there was about twenty pressable men under the present Act being Fishermen & Apprentices.
