Folios 184-185: James Masters, HMS Meteor, Gravesend. Encloses letter from Lieutenant Luckcraft who disappeared at Halfway Reach. Says the Second Lieutenant left for the same reasons and piles from the ship's dampness. Requests an enquiry as he has no surgeon. Reports he too has been unwell from sleeping in a cabin before it was dry.
Folios 186-186A: enclosed in folios 184-185. Letter dated 7 March 1804 by Lieutenant John Luckcraft, HMS Meteor. Asks to be superseded as has a lung complaint from the recent debilitating cold he caught.
