Folios 373-374: David Milne, HMS Seine, Praya [Praia] Bay, Island of St Iago [Santiago]. As instructed he called off Falmouth on 25 October and took under convoy vessels bound for the coast of Africa. After much bad weather he arrived at Praya Bay, having seen ships bound to the Island of Bonavista. Tomorrow he sails for Cape Coast Castle with the African Company's store ship. Some enemy cruisers were seen at the islands when three French frigates anchored in the bay and took away with them two American vessels, then proceeding to the coast of Africa. This letter is being sent by a Portuguese brig sailing for Lisbon.
