Description

Folios 283-284: Graham Moore, HMS Bonetta, Spithead. Asks for a warrant for Andrew McLean who was appointed Gunner of HMS Bonetta under command of Vice Admiral Richard King at St. Johns Newfoundland. Encloses his passing Certificate of Examination as Gunner.

Folios 285-286: enclosed with folios 283-284. Certificate of Examination of Andrew McLean dated 24 February 1789 by Matthew Connolly, Gunner, HMS Britannia, George Scott, Gunner, HMS Barfleur, John Mountain, Gunner, HMS Europe and Charles Barton, Mathematician. Examination directed by Henry Martin, Commissioner at Portsmouth of Andrew McLean.
