Description

Folio: 453. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Sale.

First party: Hamelin de Grimolbi [Grimoldby].

Second party: Andrew Galle.

Place or subject: Four acres of arable land and half an acre of meadow, namely the meadow which lies on the north side of Hamelin's ditch, extending towards le Sigheghate, and which Hamelin holds of the alms of the Hospital of [the Knights of St John of] Jerusalem; and two acres of arable land lying at Pighelhirne between the lands of the monks of Parco Lude [Louth Park] on the east side of Grimolbi [Grimoldby]; and two acres on the west side of the vill, of which one acre and a half lies in Hungeruuang next to the land of John son of Robert; and half an acre in Rischemare next to the land of the church of Grimoldby. To hold of Hamelin and his heirs to Andrew and his heirs freely and quietly, paying 2d yearly to Hamelin and his heirs at the feast of St Botolph for all earthly service and secular exaction.
