Description

Captured ship: Christian of Caron [near Grangemouth], otherwise St Christina of [Carriden, near Bo'ness, Scotland, otherwise Leith] (master Barent Rust [of Bremen], otherwise Berendt Rust, [Bernard Rust]).

Capture history: a Scottish ship ([galliot], [100] tons), bound from [France] to [Scotland]; taken [before 1/11 April 1672 (when the court process was started)], by [HMS Dunkirk (Francis Courtney commanding)], and brought into London.

Court Papers, numbered CP 1:-

  • [CP 1]: order of Prize Commissioners to Leoline Jenkins for the papers 'of the Scotch shipp' to be delivered to London, 11 April 1672, and to be forwarded to the owners after comparison with the manifest.
