Description

Folios 54-55: Alexander Inglis Cochrane, HMS Northumberland, Cawsand bay.2 men who entered for him at Queen's Ferry in Scotland are now on board HMS Megaera at Portsmouth.

Folios 56-57: enclosure with folios 54-55. Letter dated 21 October 1803 from Nin Paton, Queensferry, to Alexander Cochrane recommending Joseph Purdie to him.

Folios 58-59: enclosure with folios 54-55. Letter dated 11 January 1804 by William Stewart, HMS Megaera, Spithead, to Alexander Cochrane, HMS Northumberland. Concerning George [?] who is to enter HMS Northumberland.

Folios 60-61: enclosure witrh folios 54-55. Letter dated 11 January 1804 by Joseph Purdie, HMS Megaera, Spithead. Applying to join HMS Northumberland.
