Description

Folios 51-52: Alexander Inglis Cochrane, HMS Northumberland, Cawsand Bay. Recommending that William Wellborn, a soldier of the East York militia who served under him in HMS Ajax be permitted to join his ship. his letter of application is enclosed.

Folio 53: enclosure with folios 51-52. Letter dated 30 January 1804 by William Wellborn, Colchester Garrison under General Cugg. Letter to Alexander Cochrane requsting a position on his ship and release from the regiment.
