Captured ship: François or Francis of Granville (master Olivier de la Rue).
History: a French merchant ship (24 tons) bound from St Malo to Dieppe, laden with salt and wine; taken on 9/19 October 1693 off the coast of Normandy by the privateers Guernsey Sloop (John Stephens commanding) and Hopewell (Robert Slowly commanding) and brought into Guernsey.
