Captured ship: St François or St Francis of Calais (master Pierre le Nué).
History: a French merchant ship (sloop, 25 tons) bound from Morlaix to Calais, laden with sugar, honey and tobacco; taken on 23 July / 3 August 1696 off Lannion by the privateer King William Galley (Abraham le Mesurier commanding) and brought into Guernsey.
