Captured ship: Angel Raphael of Stockholm (master Hinrich Huge).
History: a Swedish merchant ship bound from London to Lisbon, laden with coals, but being plundered by many privateers in the English Channel (who took away men, sails, provisions and clothes), had to put first into Plymouth for new recurits, then into Brest, where he had to sell part of the coals to purchase replacement sails, and was forced by French officers to sell the rest, the money to be remitted to the owner Tobias Widman in Stockholm; coming into Falmouth to buy provisions, the ship was seized in port on [10/20] May 1694 by the collector of customs to the Lord Admiral's use.
