Folio 8. Newsletter [Nine Years' War]. His Majesty hunted the stag on his way from Soetsdyke [Zoetsdyk, Netherlands] to [Loo]. He received a letter from Mr le Fort, the first ambassador from Muscovy, by order of the Czar [Peter the Great], to inform him of a victory obtained by his troops over the Turks and Tartars near Asoph [Azov]. The Earl of Portland [William Bentick] returned from the army, and John [Jean] Bart [French naval commander and privateer] sailed out of Dunkirk, and proceeded northward with his squadron, having the Prince of Conti [Francois Louis de Bourbon] on board.
