Description

Captured ship: Adventure of Leith (master James Wilkie).

History: a Scottish ship; taken in 1694 by the enemy, retaken by HMS Montagu ([William] Bridges commanding).

  • [CP 1]: receipt for salvage (for £62 8s 5½d);
  • [CP 2]: claim by William Dunbar, John Wilkie master and John Marjoribanks, merchants of Edinburgh, for the ship and cargo of linen etc, 17 January 1695.
