Folios 209-210. A letter to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, from R [Robert] Yard, dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex]. Advises of reports from Ireland concerning the arrival there of Brigadier [Pierre] Belcastel's regiment of Foot, and other French [Huguenot] regiments, on 23 [August 1698] at Kinsale [Cork] from Flanders. Also reports that Vice Admiral [Matthew[ Aylmer's squadron at Portsmouth [Hampshire] has been paid and is ready to sail [to the Straits of Gibraltar]; and that the squadron for suppressing pirates in the West Indies is also ready to sail.
