Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Gibraltar.
Captured ship: Maria Cornelia (master Ary Molegraff).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Salou to Hamburg, laden with brandy, cork and nuts; taken on 24 April 1797 by the privateer Gibraltar, and brought into Gibraltar.
Appellant: Jens Wolff merchant of London, for merchants of Altona, Hamburg, Balnkensee and Greetzyl; also Sebastian Fridag merchant of London, on behalf of Messrs Hilary Bauerman and Son of Greetzyl for a small part of the cargo.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 15 July 1801 (folios 49-64).
Decision: further proof required, Willinck of Altona's claim rejected.
