Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Montserrat.
Captured ship: Eagle (master Jacob Meyer).
Nationality: Danish or Spanish.
History: bound from Puerto Rico to Christianstad, St Croix, laden with cattle, coffee and fustic, and with two slaves in the crew; taken on 26 December 1797 by the privateers Dagnam (John Molyneux commanding) and Mitford (Bernard Jordan McCue commanding), and brought into Plymouth, Montserrat.
Appellant: The master on behalf of Raapzart Heyliger merchant of St Croix.
Respondent: The captors.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 10 July 1801 (folios 21-29).
Decision: further proof required.
