Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Martinique.
Captured ship: Triton (master Peter Tripp).
Nationality: Hamburg.
History: bound from Hamburg to Surinam, laden with bricks, boards, lime, salt, oil, dry goods, plantation stores and cutlasses; taken on 25 December by the privateer Experiment (John Hancock commanding), and brought into Martinique.
Appellant: Henry Burmester merchant of London on behalf of Messrs Berend, Roosen, Solomons and Janussen, merchants of Hamburg.
Respondent: The captor.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 14 June 1800 (folios 124-139).
Decision: against the appeal.
