Captured ship: Wilhelmsburg [first capture] (master Jens Booysen or Boysen).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Surinam to Altona or Amsterdam, laden with sugar and coffee; taken on 1 October 1796 by HMS Unicorn (Sir Thomas Williams commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
Appellant: The master for the ship on behalf of Herman de Vos and his brother Peter de Vos merchants of Altona.
Respondent: The captor and HMPG.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 26 April 1800 (folios 1 -14).
Decision: against the appeal, appellant condemned in costs of the appeal.
