To: The General Board of Health.
From: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 28 July 1856. Plans, 'with the lengths and sizes of the pipes inserted', are said to be enclosed herewith, as requested [not included in item]. Deacon explains that Mr Manwaring, Consulting Engineer to the Local Board, will attend at the office of the General Board at any time to afford any further information, should it be required. He adds that the present rateable value of the Southampton District is £12,2911 10s 0d.
